Position Overview
Building Reserves, Inc. (BRI) is one of the nation's top reserve study providers, serving many iconic buildings throughout the United States. BRI provides consulting services, customized capital planning and building solutions for community associations, facilities, and a variety of other building typologies. BRI engineering team will learn everything relating to buildings and infrastructure. We are the jack of all trades and the masters of financial budgets. This allows our team to create accurate, creative and customized financial projections for our clients.
We provide base pay plus a bonus structure allowing for a six figure compensation for motivated engineers after a few years of experience. We offer full in-house paid training, health insurance and 401k with company matching. Qualified candidates will be motivated, detailed-oriented, and have a passion for the built environment.

Responsibilities
- Client interaction & maintenance of strong client relationships
- On-site building inspections (indoor and outdoor)
- Generate reserve funding recommendations and cash flow plans
- Use satellite imagery, GIS systems, and architectural drawings to identify infrastructure and property components
- Investigate property history, maintenance practices and building issues
- Calculate remaining useful life & replacement cycles
- Gather unit quantities through on-site measurements, architectural drawings, and satellite imagery
- Identify building components, equipment, mechanical systems along with current conditions.
- Research unique building systems, equipment, construction details & finishes
- Identify building deficiencies and associated causes
- Consult with specialty vendors
- Project cost estimating
- Travel 10% - 30% in a given work month.
Experience
- Bachelors or Master’s in Architecture or Engineering (architects, architectural-engineers, civil, mechanical, structural, environmental and electrical)
- Success-driven, highly detailed-oriented, willing-to-learn, motivated, ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Must have a passion for the built environment and enjoy working outside
- 1-3+ years engineering experience and/or licensure is optimal
